In Paris, all roads lead to Christmas

During the end of the year celebrations, Paris becomes an enchanting wonderland of festive illuminations, and the magic is also very much apparent in the display windows of the city’s department stores. On the Right Bank, the Boulevard Haussmann is aglow with the spirit of Christmas. The windows of Printemps offer eleven charming tableaux of the globe-hopping adventures of two intrepid heroes. Then, a little further along, at the Galeries Lafayette, in a spectacular and joyous setting inspired by a life-size carnival, we follow the love affair of a pigeon and a dove. Meanwhile, on the Left Bank, Bon Marché invites us to journey to a magical world inhabited by the happy elves of the Christmas Gang as they work hard in a toy factory to ensure that everything is ready for the big day. By night, in the streets all around these heart-warming scenes, the garlands of light shine brightly. This is the time when Paris is lovelier than ever.
