Easter is a special time in Paris, with a range of festive events taking place from March 30th to April 1st, 2024. If you're looking for unique activities to celebrate this traditional occasion, in the City of Light, you'll be spoiled for choice!
Of course, the emblematic element of this celebration is the Easter egg hunt, a well-established tradition in the City of Light. Once again, this year, the possibilities are numerous!
For a unique experience, some Parisian boat cruise companies invite you to participate in an Easter egg hunt on the water, directly aboard the boat. Imagine yourself cruising along the Seine, admiring the magnificent Parisian monuments while searching for precious chocolate eggs. These cruises, organized by Batobus company, are scheduled for Sunday, March 31st at 10:00 AM and 4:45 PM, as well as Monday, April 1st, at the same times. Departure is from the Batobus stop at the Louvre.
Additionally, Paris also offers more traditional Easter egg hunts on land. The Paris Zoological Park, also known as Zoo de Vincennes, welcomes families for a large Easter egg hunt on Sunday, March 31st and Monday, April 1st, 2024. In addition to this activity, there will be entertaining animations and a decorated egg contest, offering a fun day with the animals. In a different register, the village of Oeufoville exceptionally opens its doors to the public on Sunday, March 31st and Monday, April 1st. There, you can discover the collection of eggs from around the world belonging to passionate inhabitants, as well as participate in creative egg decoration workshops, an exhibition, a chocolate sales stand, and of course, an egg hunt.
Finally, for those who want to combine pleasure and solidarity, don't miss the traditional Easter egg hunt organized by the Secours Populaire de Paris at André Citroën Park, in the 15th arrondissement. Scheduled for Sunday, March 31st, 2024, this solidarity Easter egg hunt brings together more than 200 volunteers for a day dedicated to solidarity and mutual aid. Children can purchase a hunting permit for €6 to participate in this wonderful initiative.
Whether you choose to hunt for eggs on the water, in a zoo, in the heart of an unusual village, or in a solidarity setting, Paris offers a multitude of activities to celebrate Easter with your family!
