The Musée des Arts Décoratifs' new exhibition "Shocking" pays tribute to the inspiring and courageous work of the Italian fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli.
Through approximately 300 costumes and accessories and more than 200 works of art by the greatest names of the time, this retrospective sets the designer in her time and pays tribute to the greatest figures who inspired her throughout her career.
Man Ray, Salvador Dalí, Jean Cocteau and many other famous artists, as well as renowned designers such as Yves Saint Laurent and John Galliano, allow visitors to reconstruct the artistic life of Elsa Schiaparelli and discover the innovative and avant-garde nature of her creations.
